Details about this year's call of duty League formally announced today: the event will be held in Los Angeles in March, with the competition to play on an Xbox for the first time.
Much like last year's event II, Black Ops, Call of Duty: ghosts competition will see 32 teams competing for $ 1 million in prize money. These groups will meet from all over the world: 13 teams from America, 13 teams from Europe, four teams from the Asia-Pacific region, and two teams from Africa and the Middle East will be included in the final list of competitors.
Before making it to Los Angeles, teams interested in competing, you will first need to survive a series of Qualifiers set to launch later this month taking place and continuing into February, which will be completed with a total regional finals. Details on how to qualify is available on the website of Major League Gaming.
These qualifying tournaments will be played on Xbox 360, with various regional finals and the same goes to the League, to play on an Xbox. According to Activision, it makes the first official Call of Duty Xbox into a competitive event to offer prize money.
The regional finals will be broadcast live on MLG.tv and Xbox Live in late February and early March. The League itself--won by Percy Fariko effects--also will be broadcast online and is set to take place from 28-30 March.
