Titanfall maps can fit up to 48 competitors including AI and Titans

After this week moderate backlash during the Titanfall games are tailored to six versus six, Respawn lead designer Justin Hendry insisted the 12-player limit is what is best for Titanfall, saying, "[t] he game is built essentially to be six to six."

"Is that number for months," Hendry said polygon. "We're pretty avid gamers in the Studio. People speak their minds and listen and make changes. This is the number that felt better. "

The team experimented with up to 12 players per side and gradually decreases down to arrive just two on each side, until I finally decided six at six was the sweet spot.

"Once it comes back to what makes the game fun," said Hendry. "If you want to make a game and you want to make decisions not based on fun because you try to please anyone or trying to match numbers, you don't do the right thing."

"Why not make call of duty 256 players, or battle of 256 or 512? Maybe that would be awesome. Maybe this would be awesome for that type of game built around it, but you don't just jam players in a game and say this is what they are ordained. "

The games, however, will not be limited to 12 total human players; each team will be able to support up to 12 AI-controlled fighters and each human player will be able to have their own personal TITAN dragging them under control AI in operation "Follow" or "guarding". At its peak, the Titanfall can serve for up to 48 characters individually.

The AI-controlled soldiers will serve as two meat easier for less experienced players who can be difficult to compete against other human players and to help in providing a narrative in the game, you do not have a component of the player.

The Group was surprised by the reaction of player count is confirmed, but not currently reviewing six versus six Cap.

"When people start to play as Titanfall Titanfall, counting player becomes a non-issue," said Hendry.
