In a couple of blog entries apparently designed to make life easier for Battlefield wiki editors, dice have provided a complete list of multiplayer maps and game modes that will launch with Battlefield 4. In addition to detailing how each match type will play, we also get a look at player accounts for each mode and again get to feel a little smug about how many more players of the PC version can squeeze over the current generation of consoles.
Back to include mode, Rush, Team Deathmatch and team Deathmatch, which should be familiar to anyone who has dipped in any of the last few battlegrounds. Also returning is BF3: Domination mode ' Close Quarters, that sounds like a small-scale version, faster than the conquest.
The two new modes are obliteration and defuse it. Validation, as the name suggests, involves capturing a bomb accidentally reproductive and planting on one of the enemy team's objective. Defuse, meanwhile, is a highly competitive 5 vs 5 in which each player has only one life, and the goal is to eliminate the enemy team, or destroy their goal. You can read more about the different modes (and PC Gamer generation and counting) over the battlefield blog post announcement.
The game will start with ten maps and those maps will have the following names:
By all means, speculate wildly on the Cabinet, and if it is set in and around the dressing rooms of a YMCA.
While, for the most part, the list of names will have no real meaning to anyone outside of dice, the announcement post to offer some details on one of the maps just revealed. "Zavod 311 puts players in a Soviet tank factory that dates back to the cold war period. Long-abandoned, mother nature has completely taken over the plant and now covered with trees and bushes cover the mixture.
Ah, but what about the Levolution ™? "Deep inside the factory is an active warhead, which players can detonate to send an impressive fireplace crashing to the ground. Doing this opens gameplay paths and routes previously unavailable while closing others and making it extremely difficult using ground vehicles in the area. "
Battlefield 4 will release the November 1, with the beta, kicking off on 1 October. nuts have also confirmed that the beta will be available for pre-load from 29 September, and you'll need a 64-bit OS to run it.
